We are on a journey, walking the trail up, in, and out until what we see by faith becomes sight. Along the way we are tested, tried, and tempted. We stumble and at times, we can lose our way. No matter where we find ourselves along the trail, the cross is our guide. It lifts our eyes, fixes them on Jesus, and leads to Love.
The cross is our compass for the long, slow, and deeper way.
The Christian tradition invites us to physically connect to this story by placing our fingers on our foreheads, drawing them down to our core and extending them out to the left and the right; up, in, and out. Our antiqued-silver compass medallions serve as a daily invitation to live with Jesus as our vision: up, in, and out.
Our cross symbol includes a VU at the top of the cross as Christ is now complete and the head of all things: Vision Up. A solitary “V” is found at the base of the cross as our lives become hidden in His through the cross: Vision In. The final V and O are outstretched as mature love continues to be poured out until He returns: Vision Out.
